'Transformers' director Michael Bay says actress Megan Fox 'has a lot of growing up to do'

Saturday, July 4, 2009

Megan Fox's hotness may have most of the nation's male population frothing at the mouth, but her former director Michael Bay rolls his eyes at the budding actress.
Fox blasted the "Transformers" director for relying on special effects rather than acting in the two “Transformers” films in an interview with "Entertainment Weekly." But Bay is unimpressed.
"She says some very ridiculous things because she's 23 years old, and she still has a lot of growing up to do," the 44-year-old Bay told the Wall Street Journal. "You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want.'"
But is Fox biting the hand that feeds her? In addition to “Transformers” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” Bay’s directing credits include “Armageddon,” “Pearl Harbor” and “The Rock.”

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday for "Charlie's Angels" star Farrah Fawcett.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday for "Charlie's Angels" star Farrah Fawcett.

The 1970s icon died Thursday after a long battle with cancer.
She was 62 years old.

In October 2006, Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer, a rare type of cancer in the U.S. On her 60th birthday, she announced she was cancer-free. A few months later, a polyp was found and Fawcett resumed treatment in Germany. As of February 2009, Fawcett has discontinued treatment and is reportedly doing well.
Fawcett is no stranger to cancer, having had her sister die of lung cancer. Her long time on-again, off-again companion, Ryan O'Neil also suffered from leukemia.
Her longtime companion, Ryan O'Neal, and her friend, Alana Stewart, were at her side.

"After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away," O'Neal said in a statement. "Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world."

Fawcett's Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles is closed to the public and the media.

Fawcett's 24-year-old son Redmond, who is in jail on a pair of drug-related charges is expected to attend the funeral, after a judge granted him permission.

Craig Nevius tells People magazine that the 62-year-old "Charlie's Angels" star, who was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006, was hospitalized because of a blood clot that was likely a side effect of treatment she recently had in Germany.

Just a Minute With: Sandra Bullock's "Proposal"

Actress Sandra Bullock says romantic comedies are bad and she is fighting against her latest movie, "The Proposal," being put in that category.

In "The Proposal," which will be released in U.S. theaters on Friday, Bullock plays a Canadian book editor who declares she is engaged to her unsuspecting assistant, played by Ryan Reynolds, to avoid deportation from the United States.

She spoke to Reuters about why she made the film, what she thinks of romantic comedies and the restrictions women face in the film industry.

Sandra Bullock: Ryan Reynolds Should 'Be Naked All The Time'

After a two-year vacation from the big screen, Sandra Bullock is finally back in The Proposal, opposite that leading man women die for, Ryan Reynolds.

Audiences can catch Bullock in her first ever nude scene -- and her hunky co-star strips down too.
"The nudity was appropriate for the film. I had to be buck-naked. The big thing was that it was funny. And the only way it could be funny was if you saw my whole body. Ann Fletcher, the director, was amazing in how she choreographed it because we knew we couldn't show anything too explicit. I had a little bit more area to cover than Ryan did, so it was a little trickier for me. But I can talk about Ryan's penis if you want. I mean if I looked like him, I'd be naked all the time."

Mariah Carey to release new album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" on August 25

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

Mariah Carey will release her 12th studio album, "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel," August 25 on Island Def Jam, the singer announced Tuesday.
Carey announced the title of her new album back in May via Twitter, writing, "Bcuz I Love U, I want u to be the first to know the title of my new album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" Its very personal & dedicated to u."

She followed up on June 9 with an excited Tweet about the first single: "Seriously, this is one of my favorite songs ever," she wrote. "I love the whole album. I'm completely immersed in it. I can't wait for you to hear it."

Since entering the studio earlier this year, Carey has been providing regular updates about the album to her 600,000-plus followers on the microblogging site.

The album follows 2008's "E=MC2," which sold 1.3 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan and spawned Carey's 18th No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 ("Touch My Body"), as she surpassed Elvis Presley to claim the second-highest tally of No. 1 hits in the rock era. The Beatles are the all-time leaders with 20.

The 1st single from my new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel is called 'Obsessed' and will be at radio next Tuesday," she Tweeted. "I'm a lil' exc" (the post cuts off before she continues in another Tweet). "Seriously, this is one of my favorite songs ever. I love the whole album. I'm completely immersed in it. Last month, Carey Tweeted, "Bcuz I Love U, I want u to be the first to know the title of my new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. It's very personal & dedicated to u."

"Sometimes it's perhaps a co-writer, which you can definitely feed off that other person's energy or where they're coming from, and go back and forth with different ideas," Carey said in a statement. "That's a process that really inspires me and that I really love."

Fergie Says She’s Bisexual

Newlywed Fergie has admitted she’s bisexual! We wonder if she clued Josh Duhamel in on that info before they tied the knot!
In a recent interview with The Sun, Fergie said, “Put it this way, I’ve experimented definitely, but I have never had a steady girlfriend.”
Fergie and The Black Eyed Peas have a new music video coming out for their latest single, and Fergie, and she says it’s one that the guys will definitely like.
She told the mag, “You’ll like our next video, for “I Got A Feeling,” because I have a little girl-on-girl tease section of the video. I met the girls right before we did the scene. They were beautiful. They were hot. One of them was the director’s girlfriend — so he was happy!”

The BLACK EYED PEAS' brutal touring schedule is making frontwoman FERGIE sick.
The star took a break from her successful solo career to return to the group which made her famous, and is travelling the world this summer performing with the Where is the Love? hitmakers.

There will always be rumblings and rumors that we've broken up, but in fact, it's very much still on - and it keeps on getting better."

Vanessa also seemed believing that her marriage will come soon, saying "Maybe this will be the one time I wind up the bride instead of the bridesmaid!" The 28-year-old Philippines born model added, "It will be 10 carats when it moves to the fourth finger!" she said while pointed to a 5-carat ring on her middle finger."
Minnillo and Lachey made clear that they totally support Donald Trump's decision to allow Prejean to keep her Miss California title. And Nick also made clear that he has no problem cutting off Vanessa when he feels like doing the talking.Said Minnillo, "This poor girl!" Then Nick cut her off to go on a tirade. Said Lachey, "Of course she should have kept her crown. This is what makes America.
